Nothing is going to launch its new earbuds Nothing Ear 3 in India and global markets on September 18. This will be the successor to the Ear 2 launched last year. The company has released a teaser video of its design, which shows its semi-transparent look and new Talk button. Nothing Ear 3 is expected to have design changes and some new feature upgrades.
The Nothing Ear 3 will launch in India and other markets on September 18. The new truly wireless stereo (TWS) headset will come as a successor to the Nothing Ear 2, which was introduced in 2023. The device is just a few days away from being revealed and the UK-based brand posted a new teaser video on Friday, showing the full design of the Nothing Ear 3.
The overall design of the case is similar to the previous generation, including a transparent lid. Over the past week, Nothing has shared several teaser images of the Nothing Ear 3 on its social media accounts. The company is expected to give a ‘Talk’ button in the new model, but how it will work is not yet clear.

Nothing Ear 3 will retain semi-transparent design
On X (formerly Twitter), Nothing shared a teaser video with the caption ‘Talk’, showing the design of the Nothing Ear 3 from different angles. In the teaser, the device is seen in Nothing’s signature semi-transparent design language with white ear tips. The earbuds and their charging case are very similar to the design of the Ear 2, but some slight changes are also visible. The case has a transparent lid and appears to be attached to a new silver base.
The ‘Ear 3’ text on the stem is engraved in Nothing’s dot-matrix font, while the name of Nothing is printed on the case. Apart from this, red and white dots are seen on the earphones to show the left and right side.
The new feature added to the Ear 3 is the ‘Talk’ button on the front, which was shown in a recent teaser. This button is given near the USB Type-C charging port at a place where something like a microphone or speaker appears. These features point to possible new functionality. It is expected that this will help in turning the case into a wireless microphone.

Details related to Nothing Ear 3 and its specifications have not been revealed yet, but the company usually releases several teasers before the launch of its products. Therefore, more details are expected to emerge in the coming days, as the company is increasing curiosity ahead of the launch.
The Nothing Ear 3 is confirmed to launch in India and other global markets on September 18. It is expected to bring new features as well as hardware upgrades and improvements over the Nothing Ear 2 (which launched in 2023).
Sound quality: Life in every beat
The Nothing Ear 3 has received several upgrades to further improve sound quality. It has 11mm dynamic drivers, which provide a more accurate and rich audio experience than previous models. The company has worked with its partner, British audio brand KEF, to tune the sound, giving you a great experience in all types of music.
Whether you are listening to Bollywood songs, enjoying classical music, or want to dance to the beats of EDM, the Nothing Ear 3 performs well in every style. Its sound profile is balanced, with deep bass, clear mids and crisp highs. For bass lovers, it also has a bass enhance feature, which can be customized through the Nothing X app.
Along with high-resolution audio support, these earbuds support LDAC and LHDC codecs, ensuring high-quality sound streaming. However, if you are an iPhone user, you may have to rely on the AAC or SBC codec, but the sound quality is still impressive.
