Today, we’re going to talk about the new 2025 model of Toyota’s most powerful and reliable pickup, the Hilux. For the first time, this model will be available in both electric and hybrid variants. This model will not only be environmentally friendly but will also break new ground in terms of power and performance.

Production of the 2025 Hilux will begin in December.

Toyota has officially unveiled the ninth-generation Hilux 2025. Production is scheduled to begin in December 2025, after which it will be launched in several global markets. This time, the Hilux will be offered in both all-electric and plug-in hybrid (PHEV) versions.

Strong body and excellent off-road performance

The new electric Hilux is built on a body-on-frame platform, providing excellent rigidity and stability. It also features a new Multi-Terrain Select system that automatically adjusts brake and torque control to suit varying terrain. This technology makes the Hilux even more capable for challenging mountain terrain and off-road adventures.

Excellent Electric Performance and Range
The Hilux Electric features a 59.2kWh battery that offers a real-time driving range of approximately 240 kilometers. Its front and rear e-axles generate torque of 205Nm and 268Nm, respectively. This electric Hilux can tow a payload of up to 715 kg and has a towing capacity of up to 1600 kg.

The hybrid model will feature the power of a 2.8-liter diesel engine

The plug-in hybrid version of the Toyota Hilux 2025 is based on the company’s renowned 2.8-liter diesel engine with a 48V mild hybrid system. This model offers a towing capacity of up to 3500 kg and a payload of up to 1000 kg. Furthermore, the Hilux can now easily wade through water up to 700 mm, making it a reliable companion in all kinds of difficult terrain.

Interior and Comfort: A Touch of Luxury

On the inside, the HiLux 2025 exudes a premium feel. Dual-tone leather seats, soft upholstery, and metallic accents add to the luxurious feel of the cabin. The driver’s seat is 6-way power adjustable, and the steering is tilt and telescopic. The rear seats are 60:40 split and tip-up, providing ample legroom and headroom. Three people can sit comfortably.

The 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system supports Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. The 6-speaker sound system is good. Features include dual-zone auto AC, cruise control, keyless entry, push-button start, and a cooled glovebox. The multi-information display is large and informative. Storage space is abundant – door pockets hold 1-liter bottles, and cup holders are located in the center console and rear armrest. However, there’s no rear charging port.

The Hilux 2025 will become Toyota’s new global powerhouse

The Toyota Hilux has always been known for its ruggedness and performance. Now, its electric and hybrid incarnations are set to usher it into a new era. It not only offers the perfect blend of power and ruggedness, but with new technology, it has the potential to become a leader in the global off-road market in the coming years.

The Toyota Hilux 2025 is for drivers who seek power, technology, and reliability. Whether it’s mountain heights or city streets, the new Hilux will deliver strong performance in every situation.
